Masai Mara The Great Migration
The Magic of the Maasai Mara. (4N/5D)
25 to 29 july 2026
- Kenya
Overview
Kenya is a land of unexplored and raw beauty that can stun anyone into an awestruck silence. The never-ending savannahs stretching beyond the horizon contain every colour from a painter`s palette, every shred of imagination of a writer, every punctuation of a poet and every dream of any person. The skies and the land marry in perfect unison and vow to take care of all those who roam freely between them. The wildlife is the lucky child that turns everyone else into the deepest shade of green, with envy.
As the day gives way to night, which in turn steps aside for the day, the infinite beauty and wilderness continues to enchant us forever, without getting tired. Being among the most exquisite and untouched places on earth, the experience that Kenya generously offers you is priceless.
As part of this beautiful experience, we stay at beautiful lodges and camps right in the heart of the Maasai Mara, where lions roam and elephants trumpet in gay abandon! This is Africa that you have always seen on the television, raw, pristine and wild!
On this very special and exclusive tour, we shall be doing full-day safaris in the iconic Mara bush with special off road permits*. Our vehicles would be the very exclusive ‘Open Land-cruisers’ which are very few in number in the Mara, you will feel special! These vehicles make you live the iconic African bush and feel truly ‘into the wild’ but also give you a huge heads up for photography. We are proud to have them for our personal safari use in the Mara!
You can rest assured about the intensity on the field, we shall do our level best to get the images that you have always dreamed of – be it the male lion in golden light or the family of cheetahs on the prowl, leopard up an acacia or lion cubs playing with their mother! The Mara usually does not disappoint! Even if you are not a photographer, do not mind, the experience is sure to blow your mind off!
We stay at Matira Bush Camp, one of the best location in the reserve, close to the Mara river.
End og July is the time of the year where thousands of wildebeests congregate to cross the river during the Great Migration.
Join us on this once-in-a-lifetime safari and let the Africa of your dreams materialize in front of your very eyes.
Itinerary
1. Day 1 : Drive Nairobi to Mara. Afternoon game drive.
Early morning, we meet at the Nairobi airport (those who have reached Nairobi the previous night will be picked up from the hotel) and proceed toward the Mara. On arrival, we have lunch and go for a game drive till dusk. This would be your introduction to the fabled Mara landscape and the sheer number of animals would leave you mesmerized! A topi silhouette against the setting sun, a lioness up on a tree or maybe a group of cheetahs on the hunt, expect to witness spectacular action! Over dinner, we shall discuss the course of action for the next four days.
2. Day 2,3 & 4 : Full day game drives (dusk to dawn)
We shall waste no minute of pristine daylight and ensure we spend as much time as possible in the bush! The myriad of animals, hunt sequences, big cats, massive herds of wildebeest, giraffes against the African sky would all be memories for a lifetime! Our expert drivers and the camp mentors will ensure that you are at the right place at the right time! Their experience and knowledge of animal behaviour shall prove to be very useful in making your experience the very best one! After many GBs of incredible images, tons of memories and an African dream realized, we shall rest our heads, content and happy!
3. Day 5 : Morning game drive, drive to Nairobi later.
We do a half day game drive and try and tick all boxes remaining before leaving for Nairobi. (book any flight from Nairobi after 1130 pm).

Frequently Asked Questions
Your questions answers about stays and more
What’s the difference between a group tour and a private tour?
Group tours are fixed date departures to some of our most popular destinations. You can buy a seat for one of those and you will share the jeep with other participants.
A private tour is a totally customized trip that we will craft around your preferences. You can choose the dates, the park and the accommodation category.
How much in advance shall I plan a safari trip?
It is important to plan your trip well in advance. For the Indian national parks, we recommend a minimum of 4 to 6 months prior to the date. Visiting a national park in India requires the booking of permits. These are issued in a limited number to control the capacity of the park and they get sold out quite fast.
For Africa, we recommend booking at least 6 months in advance during peak season (June to September) and 2-3 months for the rest of the year.
Can you organize a safari trip using luxury properties?
Absolutely. We work with the best hotels and camps in every destination and we are able to include the best luxury properties for your holiday.
What makes your safari trips special?
We have extensive experience as tour operators, naturalists and wildlife photographers. We (the founders) are on field for months every year and have a deep knowledge of all the destinations and of their sightings opportunities. We work with the best team of guides, drivers and trackers with whom we have established a personal relationship over the years.
I am a wildlife photographer. Can you tailor- make a trip based on my requirements?
Absolutely. We are wildlife photographers ourselves and we know the importance of a great team who understands key factors such as jeep positioning, angle and light. We can offer specially modified jeeps for photography in all destinations. Rest assured that you will go back with photos that tell a memorable story!
I want to combine wildlife and cultural visits / sightseeing. Can you organize that as well?
Yes, we can also organize your cultural tour in India and in our other destinations. Based on your requirements we will craft a personalized itinerary and we will take care of hotels, transportation, guides and anything you need.
What’s the best time of the year to go on a safari?
For India, most parks are open from 1 October to 30 June. October and November are the post-monsoon months, and the forest is dense and green. December to the beginning of March is winter, the weather is crisp and the light beautiful. Summer starts from the end of April to June. This is the time when the weather is gets warmer and the number of tiger sightings peak.
For Africa, it all depends on the destination. If you want to see the Great Migration of wildebeests, the season is from June to the end of September. This destination is great during the other months as well, when the crowds are less and you can experience multiple sightings of big cats and other animals.
